Adventures in Letterpress
With a giant thanks to Hunter and Rocket over at the Levi’s print shop on Valencia street, I dabbled for the first time, in the ways of the letterpress. I designed and printed a little piece for my neighborhood peeps, had the plates made, took them down to the shop, and took a few pics of the process. Everyone working there was super cool, and explained the intricacies and considerations of setup and how to operate the press: a Vandercook 32-28. I had a blast, and it felt really good to get my hands dirty with ink and solvents, which I haven’t done in a while. If you want to buy a print, there are a few regular prints and a few extra special limited editions available, email me.
